You need a training partner who's serious. My friend never wants to work out so I have to drag his sorry ass out and once you in the gym, you won half the battle.

when I was 22 lifting was fun and all I wanted to do, now at 37 I dont have any desire to do weights, just cardio.

if you dont have desire at 22 you might be headed for couch potato land at my age, dont let that happen

the hardest part about lifting weights and working out is getting off your ass and drving over there

that's it

the rest will take care of itself

If you have space in your house, you can put together a nice little gym for under a nickel.
A decent weight bench 200-300
Dumbells/Barbell/weights 150
Curl bar/tricep bar 50

You really can get a full body workout with a good bench that has the following

Incline/Decline
Leg attach
Preacher attach
Some even come with the Lat attachment

Im the same way. I play hoops 3 times a week for about 4 hours. So thats really good cardio, but I cant find the motivation to get into a weight lifting routine.

As long as you stay active you don't need to lift, but you better stay active, something more than driving a golf cart around a course

Like HolySmoke says if you're aready losing the desire at 22 you're in trouble.

I would like to stress to you to try not to quit, and to try and make it more fun,,,it all depends on what you really want but you will be sorry down the road, the benefits are so great and when you're 22 you just don't know how much easier it is then it will be down the road...don't quit.
